"Tiana, you need to calm down," Whitney said, though her own nerves were shot.

She stared out the window as the world streaked by, the darkness outside bottomless. Her voice was hoarse, "Maybe it's only Elaine who's gone. God has eyes, let's just pray."

Tiana wiped at the corner of her eye and lowered her head. "Either way... we have to see her one last time."

Whitney's heart felt like ice. "Driver, can you go any faster?"

"Don't worry, ma'am. I work for Master Parker," the driver replied, nodding. "But

"Tiana..." Whitney turned, worry etched in her face. The mountain road was treacherous in the dark.
