Chapter 702

His hands wandered beneath her sweater, deftly unfastening the buttons on the back as though he'd done it a thousand times before.

"Leda... Leda..." he murmured between kisses, her name rolling off his lips with a tenderness that was at odds with the fervor of his actions, as though he wanted to consume her whole.

With a slight exertion, Leda managed to push him away, her cheeks flushed and her breathing uneven. "It's broad daylight, York. What do you think you're doing? Get off."

He looked at her with a playful gleam in his eyes, clearly wanting more. "Come on, let me kiss you just a little longer..."

He leaned in again, unabashed. "You've been at the hospital with Roseanne these past few days. I've missed you like crazy!"

"Missed me?" Leda raised an eyebrow, skepticism written all over her face. "Aren't you missing a word there?"

He chuckled, shameless. "Alright, fine. I've missed sleeping with you. So what?" With that, he wrapped an arm around her, clinging like a stubborn koala.

Leda was used to his antics by now. She responded calmly, "You're supposed to be Mr. Gibson, the charmer extraordinaire. How come you're acting like a restless teddy bear?"

York's face fell. "Who are you calling a teddy bear?"

"You, obviously."
