It was yet another leisurely Saturday morning when Corley drove up to the apartment building, excited to pick up Roseanne for a visit to the Rodriguez family. The elderly couple always looked forward to Roseanne's visits on her days off, and this time, they had planned it in advance.

The moment the sun rose, Corley's parents had been gently nudging him to get going. Roseanne, of course, was more than happy to oblige. The two elders were kind and warm-hearted, always treating her with such care and affection. How could she possibly refuse?

As soon as her alarm went off, she was up and about, getting ready for the day. She even whipped up a batch of some soft, slightly sweet pastries to bring along. By 8 AM, Corley was at her door, knocking right on time. He stepped in, changed into the guest slippers, and the first words out of his mouth were, "I haven't had breakfast yet."

"Yep." Roseanne nodded, watching his reaction. "Why? Don't they taste good?"
