Maybe it was because he was really drunk, or maybe it was because of something else that Brandon lost control of his emotions. He kept calling Savanna. But no matter how many times he dialed, the phone automatically hung up after ringing for sixteen seconds.
When he was driving, he didn’t know where to find her. He called Debbie and asked for her, but she told him that Savanna didn’t come back.
Brandon drove the car around. At last, he drove to a place unconsciously and turned off the engine. When he came to his senses, he saw the two words “Thompson’s house” written on the door of the villa.

He lit another cigarette. The outline of smoke was blurred, and the smell of nicotine in his mouth
was very bitter, just like his current mood.
He threw the cigarette butt out of the window, then opened the door. He walked into the villa unknowingly.
Joyce, the housekeeper, heard the car whistle and saw that it was Brandon. She looked into the hall and greeted him:”Brandon.”

He was not that drunk. Hearing Joyce calls him, he lifted his eyelids and asked:”Is Savanna back?”
“Yes.”
Joyce replied in a low voice and turned back to the hall in a hurry.
Brandon staggered a few steps and followed Joyce into the porch. At the first sight, he saw Savanna, who was sitting on the sofa and watching TV. When she heard Joyce greet Brandon, she froze.
Hearing the familiar footsteps, Savanna raised her head and met the deep black eyes of Brandon. But she only gave him a slight glance, then she lowered her head and pressed the remote control in her hand to switch the TV channel.
Seeing her indifferent attitude, Brandon felt very uncomfortable.
He staggered forward and called gently:”Savanna.”
“What are you doing here?”Staring at the TV, she said to Brandon.
It seemed that he lost the ability to speak in an instant. He just stood in front of her motionlessly like a statue
The TV was broadcasting a TV drama adapted from a popular novel. The hero and the heroine were separated because of a misunderstanding. The heroine was pregnant and gave birth to a child. After many years, the hero knew that and took him great efforts to find the heroine. When the two met, the hero’s eyes turned red and asked the heroine: “Why did you leave without saying goodbye?”

This recognition made him clench his fists. His fingerbones bulged and blue veins appeared on his fingertips. After a long time, he finally asked: “Why did you have an abortion?”.
“That’s why you came here?”
“Yes.”
“It’s better if you don’t have a child. Without a child, nothing can hold you back. You can love and have a relationship with Winnie.” Savanna answered coldly.
