It was the hospital calling. The phone ended with Brandon’s cursing, and he became annoyed after the phone.
“Winnie is missing. She is pregnant and has difficulties walking. If you are worried about her, go with me. We must find her.”
Before Savanna could answer him, Brandon grabbed her arm and left the hotel.

Brandon left the police station in a huff after getting the policeman’s promise.

Savanna turned to look at the young nurse. There was a deep bloody scratch on her left cheek, and there was a bruise in the corner of her eye. Savanna withdrew her gaze from the young nurse’s face and landed on the mess on the ground.
The broken metal pieces on the ground proved that the nurse was not lying.
