Norah walked past him and sank into the sofa, her movements calm and deliberate. “Sean proposed, and I said yes. I was going to tell you and Mom today. I’ve already sent her a message and called, so she’s in the loop.”

Calvin’s eyes widened in surprise. “I heard some buzz coming from the Scott Group earlier and thought something might be up. So, it’s true!” He paused, processing her words before breaking into a satisfied smile. “Sean’s a fine young man. If you’re happy, we won’t stand in your way. But… we haven’t met his parents yet. Don’t you think we should hold off on planning the wedding until then?”
