“You two talk. I’ll go greet your family,” Ellie said, leaving the room to give them privacy.

It had been nearly six months since Linda agreed to be Orion’s 24–hour private nurse. In that time, she had been hurt by him countless times, often crying and saying she couldn’t do it anymore. But she always stayed. Mark hadn’t chosen wrong.
