Lauren turned, feigning surprise.
"Raegan, what brings you here?"
Her tone was calculated as if she owned the place.
Raegan's eyes, rimmed red with emotion, studied Lauren coldly.

Mitchel started to follow, but Lauren, clutching his trouser leg, cried out in pain.
