Quinn's heart stuttered in her chest, her gaze nervously flickering towards Alexander. She forced a smile, tight and strained, onto her face. With a subtle gesture, she indicated that she would accept his offer when they returned. "Don't bother," Alexander responded, his gaze flitting away from her momentarily before returning.
