Stop giving him hope before leaving without looking back.” Amelia found her words funny. She had never given Carter any hope. Previously, she might’ve overstepped the boundaries by asking Carter to recommend her a job, but he was the only person she knew who wasn’t afraid of Oscar’s influence.
