The quiet of the camp settled around Aurora like a heavy blanket, but inside, her thoughts churned, restless and unrelenting. She had tried to distract herself with tasks and preparations, but the memory of Cassian's touch, his words, his presence, refused to fade. As the hours stretched on, sleep eluded her.
