Lexie frowned. “Someone’s back!” Jocelyn’s expression shifted and she immediately closed the document. “Lexie, let’s go!” “He’s coming up now! We’ll run into him if we go out!” Jocelyn looked around. “We can’t hide in the study or we’ll be found out quickly. Let’s…” Her gaze fell on the window next to the study. “Let’s go through the window! Quick, you go first!” 

Lexie glanced at Jocelyn and did not refuse as she quickly opened the window and climbed down the water pipe. 

Jocelyn walked to the door of the study and locked it from the inside before quickly going to the window. 

Lexie was halfway down and sighed when she saw Jocelyn climb out of the window 

The two girls had never done such a dangerous thing before. Lexie struggled to finally climb down the water pipe and not only did she cut her hand but her arms were slightly shaking too. 

Jocelyn just climbed onto the water pipe when she heard someone kicking the door of the study. 

She guessed that it was definitely Michael who had returned since no one else would head straight to the study.
