Chapter 3517 Obliterator

Night had fallen over the Veiled Assembly's docks. Matthew stood silently at the edge of the pier, his white attire billowing in the sea breeze. The faint metallic scent of blood, lingering from the executions earlier that evening, was gradually dissipating. The entire island had been steeped in that oppressive smell for hours, and only now was it starting to clear.

"Your methods are ruthless-so many people, executed without hesitation," a mocking voice suddenly broke the silence.

A young man in green strolled over, a jade bottle in hand, tipping it back to gulp wine. The scent of alcohol clung heavily to him.

Lenny followed closely behind, giving Matthew a subtle nod of acknowledgment. Since their last

encounter, his perception of Matthew had shifted. He now believed Matthew would eventually work under his master's command and had adjusted his attitude accordingly.

"Sometimes, if you don't act decisively, people start thinking you're soft and easily trampled," Matthew replied plainly, his gaze steady on the young man.

The young man smirked. "I like how you handle things, Matteo-calm, composed, no matter the situation." He gave Matthew a nod of approval before glancing impatiently at Lenny. "Where's the ship? Why isn't it here yet?"

"It'll be here any moment, sir," Lenny replied.
