“I asked IT to look up the IP address of the person who first posted that news online. I can tell you with certainty that I know you’re the one who did it. Also, I called the police to let them handle this. You can talk to the police if you have any questions later.”
Bill was standing at one side, and he took a few steps back as he was losing his head out of fear. He was terrified of being implicated.
After Laura was stunned for a few seconds, she felt that Tom might just be scaring her, so she scoffed.
“You called the police? Whatever. I didn’t do it anyway. I’m innocent! Plus, if those things online are real, then it’s not fake news and there’s no defamation!”
Laura was extremely nervous on the inside, but on the outside, she was smiling coldly while pretending to be calm.

“Is Laura Pine here?” A deep male voice asked sternly.
Laura was stunned, then she looked at the source of the voice. She did not expect to see two police officers in uniform walking in.
