“Did anything you just said make any sense to you at all?” Amber asked with a look of disbelief on her face.

She scoffed.

“Are you trying to pretend like you don’t see anything wrong with what you just said? What do you mean by saying you want to use me? How did that sentence even make any sense to you?” Amber retorted, wondering if he was stupid or just pretending to be.

“That is exactly it, Miss Grey. I’m someone who likes to be straightforward, so I’m going to be very direct with you.
