Chapter 79: His Own Network

At the hospital, the doctor treated Sonya's wound. Henry insisted on holding her, offering

comfort.

Sonya felt a little embarrassed. As a doctor, she usually found such behavior a bit dramatic. But she did want to be held, to be cared for.

She still pushed him away because she recognized the doctor treating her. She couldn't be seen like this by an acquaintance.

Henry, sulking, leaned against the doorframe, watching her intently.

Her injury was serious enough to require hospitalization. She was admitted to a VIP room. Henry wanted to book the entire floor, but she stopped him.

"I have some things to take care of. I'll be back tonight," Henry said, kissing her nose. Exhausted from the ordeal, Sonya was nearly asleep. "Mmm."

"Say "Husband."

Sonya blushed, her eyes fluttering open. Seeing his mischievous grin, she kicked him.

"Be good, say it again."

"One hundred million?" she raised an eyebrow.

"I'll give you everything I have."

Sonya was completely smitten.

"Husband," she whispered.

Henry's gaze deepened.

"Am I being a bit... predatory toward a patient?"

""You're a beast!"
