Chapter 700

The scene changed and revealed another video-this one deliberately zoomed in.

It clearly showed that when Yelena returned to the Lynch residence, her collarbone and arms bore no signs of injury. Yet, by the following day, when she emerged again, her exposed skin was bruised and battered.

The video footage in Jeremiah's hand made it undeniably clear Yelena's wounds weren't inflicted by Yvette. As for how they appeared, everyone in the room could guess the answer.

Yelena had gone to such lengths-hurting herself-to frame Yvette. Such scheming, such depths of malice. However, she hadn't anticipated Jeremiah and Yvette coming armed with not one but two videos to expose her lies. This was a textbook example of someone digging their own grave. The Lynch family had sealed their fate.

The Lynch family didn't value the life-saving debt owed to Jase from the battlefield generations ago. If they did, they might still hold a respected position in the capital for three more generations. Now, it was all ruined by their own hands.

The conference room buzzed with murmurs when the truth was revealed. All eyes fell on the crumbling figures of Camden and Yelena.

Camden slumped helplessly in his chair with his head hung low. He knew it was over. The Lynch family was finished, and it was his once-brilliant, ever-competitive daughter who had brought their downfall in the most humiliating way imaginable. Meanwhile, Yvette and Jeremiah were unperturbed. From the beginning, this had been nothing more than Yelena's ridiculous one-woman show. They had simply watched a performance for free.

Suddenly, Yelena stood up, her hands pressed firmly against the table. Her bloodshot eyes glared with hatred, her veins bulged on her forehead, and her face was as pale as a ghost. She seemed as if she could devour Yvette alive. With a crazed laugh, Yelena shouted, "Yvette, what makes you deserving of Mr. Chavez?"

Yelena's words left the conference room dead silent. Everyone abruptly froze in shock, thinking, 'Is Yelena truly out of her mind? Asking such an audacious question now is practically a death wish.'

Emmett's sharp gaze locked onto Yelena as he thought, 'Is her brain damaged? Not just Mr. Chavez, there isn't a man who could be too good for Yvette. No man could ever measure up to her.'

Yvette raised her eyes to meet Yelena's crazed glare. Her green irises, like bottomless pools, reflected an unshaken calm. With a detached expression, her lips curled into a mischievous smirk.
