Sylvia was speechless and her brows furrowed. Odell then said, “If I catch you dozing off again, don’t even think about seeing the kids again.” 

His sinister voice was filled with threats. 

Sylvia called him a crazy man in her heart but verbally said, “I understand.” 

The room returned to silence. 

Sylvia was robbed of her sleepiness, but to prevent herself from dozing off again, she took her carving knife and wood pieces out to kill some time. To her surprise, at the next second, the man’s irritated voice sounded from the ceiling again.” Who allowed you to carve things? Put them away!” Sylvia sighed. She pocketed the carving knife and wood pieces and simply widened her eyes at Madam Carter. 

Other than changing the disposable underpad twice and feeding Madam Carter once, Sylvia spent most of her time staring at Madam Carter. The sky soon turned bright and Violet came in. 

“Madarn, breakfast is ready. You can go have a rest now. I’ll take over from here.” 

“Thank you.”
