After returning to the Elysian Hotel with Carl, Sherry went back to her room. 

She made sure to lock the door behind her as she entered. After that, she unpacked the luggage she brought with her. She took a long–awaited shower before collapsing onto the bed in a set of pajamas. 

She turned off the lights and the room immediately descended into darkness. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. 

Yet, she did not feel sleepy. 

Whenever she closed her eyes, the scene of John pressing her against the wall and forcing a kiss on her would replay in her mind as if it had only happened seconds ago. 

Her cheeks were burning with heat. She was incensed at the mere thought of it.

After tossing and turning in bed for a while without even a hint of sleep, she sat up irritably and reached for her phone.
