John flashed a quick smile at her, then he walked past her and marched straight for Caprice.

“Daddy…” Caprice chirped and put her arms out toward him.

John obliged and took her into his arms. He looked around and asked, “Where’s your Mommy?”

Julie informed, “Sherry said she has work to do.”

Madam Stockton glanced at her.

Queenie spoke up, “Brother, we just got back from a shopping trip with Caprice. Sherry wanted to let Caprice spend more time with Mother, so she entrusted Caprice to us.”

John turned to Madam Stockton.
