Chapter 1046

As Brielle approached the assortment of medications, a lot of things around the place seemed familiar, except for this particular collection of drugs. She had no recollection of them whatsoever.

Folic acid, a necessity for pregnant women, and mifepristone, used for medical abortions, were an odd pair to find together.

Brielle's head started to ache from all the thinking.

After a night's sleep, she got up for breakfast, still pondering over the matter, but Dustin had already left early.

A few days before, he had paraded Brielle in front of the butler, Seamus, giving the impression that Raymond was not welcoming of his daughter. For the past few days, Seamus had been trying to curry favor with Raymond in Dustin's presence, suggesting that Dustin should pick a fight with Raymond now and then. It would potentially speed up the chances of Seamus making a move.

After all, with Seamus having managed to stay under the radar within the Lynch family for so many years, it was unlikely he would easily show his true colors.

Before leaving, Dustin made a point to tell Brielle, "Don't worry about the Lynch family's affairs. You've been out and about yourself these days, so I guess you must have found some leads. If there's something you want to check out, go ahead, but don't forget to have someone watch your back."

A spark of determination flashed in Brielle's eyes, though she still felt uneasy about Dustin.

Seamus was in cahoots with the professor, and Kenzo was on that side too. Their goals were probably only known to King. In essence, everything traced back to King.

King seemed to despise her now because Max had used his body to date her for a while.

Now that King had taken over and was vaguely aware of those memories, he already had another woman in his heart. He probably couldn't wait to humiliate Brielle thoroughly.

But Brielle was out of options. King was not someone to bow to threats. To uncover the truth, she had to approach him proactively.
