Chapter 1103

King stared at the cigarette between his fingers but decided against taking a drag.

Joseph stood nearby, waiting for instructions.

After a long pause, King snuffed out the cigarette in the ashtray, recalling what Max had said-Brielle hated the smell of smoke.

"Get Ronald to talk more," King ordered.

Joseph nodded and was about to leave when King added, "And for now, don't let little Isaac know Brielle is his mom. Keep it under wraps, just like before. No leaks." Joseph was already aware of this directive. Even without the reminder, he would stick to the protocol unless explicitly told otherwise.

But they didn't notice Isaac in the nearby corridor, petting Noir's head and silently taking in every word.

This secret hideout, one of many within the castle, was set up by Joseph at Isaac's request. Isaac loved playing hide-and-seek here with Noir.

So, Joseph didn't consider this particular hiding spot.

Crouching down, Isaac and Noir mirrored each other's movements. Noir stayed still, not wagging its tail to avoid making any noise that could give them away.

Slipping out of the corridor, Isaac crawled into the garden, with Noir following, belly to the ground.

In the garden, Isaac was fixated on one thought: "Don't let little Isaac know Brielle is his mom."
