Chapter 1360

King finally figured out Max's game plan. Out of nowhere, Max took control of his body, only to leave him with the aftermath once the thrill was over. Guilt washed over King instantly.

Wrapped in a comforter, Brielle looked utterly exhausted, her voice hoarse from the ordeal.

"Where did all that stuff come from?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

King, feeling guilty, couldn't bring himself to meet her gaze. "I, uh, bought them," he mumbled.

"Just get rid of it. All of it," she demanded.

The memory of Max's ruthless determination sent a shiver down her spine. She couldn't survive another round like that.

King sprang to his feet. Get rid of them?

No way. He had meticulously selected those items, and even though Max, that sneaky bastard, got to use a set first, it didn't matter. He had prepared over fifty sets. King started to sulk.

"You don't actually like me, do you? You wake up and immediately snap at me. Max barely has to say two words to make you blush. You say we're the same person, but you've always treated me differently. I get it now. I'll just leave." Seeing the look of defeat on his face tugged at Brielle's heartstrings.

"I didn't mean that."

King's eyes instantly reddened, and he silently turned away.

"Then what is it? Are you saying you don't treat us differently? You practically idolize Max, and with me, it's like I'm just another guy?"

Is it because Max is the strong, silent type?

Fine, I'll just stop talking then. How about that?
