After her outburst, she quickly turned to the lady behind the counter. "Ma'am, could you pack this up for me? I'll take it to go."

As the lady prepared her order, the diner felt spacious, with just Kailee and Lewis left. Kailee refused to take her seat again, determined not to let him tower over her in any way, physically or otherwise.
