Dinner was served to us all. I sat at Brennon’s table with Ryder and Rita by my side. Brennon and his men were sitting opposite of me. I looked up and felt someone watching me. When I looked around, my eyes landed on Candace. She was sitting at a table, surrounded by friends who were chatting amongst themselves. She wasn’t paying them any attention though, as she was watching me and my movements. I saw her eyes glance over me. When our eyes locked, she looked away from me for just a moment before turning her attention back to me with a smile. I gave her a small smile and a little wink.
