Lena bit her lip, holding back the urge to speak. With so many eyes on her, she knew better than to say anything that might make things worse. Josefina, on the other hand, silently accused her, but Lena had no choice but to keep it all in.

Josefina had a gut feeling that Lena had something to do with the incident, but without proof, it would just be slander.

The rest of the Harrison family was busy dealing with the chaos, leaving Josefina and Lena alone in the grand drawing room.

Breaking the tense silence, Lena said with a hint of sarcasm, "Sis, your medical skills are amazing. You spotted Jane's poisoning right away. If I didn't know better, I'd think you had a crystal ball."

"A capable person doesn't need foresight to find solutions. Unlike some people who, even when they know, can't do anything about it," Josefina shot back, her confidence unshaken.

Lena forced a tight, awkward smile. "You're absolutely right, sister. I just hope Jane will be okay. After all, you saved her yourself. She's bound to recover under your care."

"Of course," Josefina replied, sure of her abilities.

With that, Lena excused herself with a laugh that barely masked her frustration. She had no desire to keep up this veiled confrontation with Josefina—she feared she might slip up.

Josefina settled back into her seat as Annika brought over a platter of freshly cut fruit.

"Ms. Josefina, I have a feeling Lena is behind this. She's always scheming, and she showed up so quickly today. Plus, she's been getting close to Jane these past few days. Who else could it be?" Annika said, voicing her suspicions.

"I'm curious too-why would Lena target Jane like that?" Josefina pondered, taking a bite of a crisp apple slice. The juice filled her mouth as her brows furrowed. She, too, wanted to uncover Lena's motives.
