Jaime thought it over for a second and then nodded. He trusted Callum to handle things well, and besides, Selena seemed to warm up to Callum more than she did to him-she actually seemed to dislike him quite a bit.

Of course, he wasn't entirely innocent. He had always looked down on Selena's timid and submissive nature, thinking she wasn't good enough for someone as remarkable as Everett.
