Everett leaned back in his chair, casually listening to his team's enthusiastic presentation. A quick glance at his watch told him it was almost noon. But still, no sign of Selena.

Was she really double-crossing him? Did she take the money and run?

He picked up his phone, ready to message her and check where she was. But first, he noticed a message from Jaime.

Jaime, always stirring the pot, had sent: [Who'd have thought the great Mr. Bennett would get the cold shoulder from his wife? She deleted that lovey-dovey post from her social media!] Everett paused, then quickly checked his social media.

After refreshing it a few times, the post was gone. Instead, he saw that Selena had just liked a new post by Callum.
