For some reason, she couldn't shake the feeling that his timing was just too perfect. She had planned to sneak into the engagement party, keeping a low profile and not stirring up any drama. She just wanted to see her son and get a sense of who Jenny really was. As a mom, she needed to figure out the character of her son's soon-to-be stepmom, especially since she hadn't secured custody yet. Her son would have to get along with this woman for now.
