Chapter 562

"Where's Ms. Jenny?"

Suddenly, Alex's mind was racing with questions. She had no clue what was going on, but as she saw Yasmine confidently marching toward the stage, panic set in. "If she makes it up there, we're in big trouble!" she thought. Reacting quicker than her mind could process, Alex lunged forward and grabbed Yasmine's arm.

In a hushed tone, she asked urgently, "Yasmine, what's happening? Where's Ms. Jenny?"

Yasmine's eyes flickered with a hint of panic, caught off guard by Alex's sharp observation. But she was already in too deep, like a moth drawn to a flame, risking it all. There was no room for failure; she wouldn't let anything block her path! Feigning innocence, Yasmine replied, "Alex, I don't know why, but I can't reach Ms. Jenny either. I figured, on such a big day, we can't be without a bride."

"Mr. Everett has done so much for me; I can't just let him be embarrassed, so I..."

Taking advantage of Alex's momentary distraction, Yasmine gave her a hard shove. Wearing a gown and high heels, Alex was already at a disadvantage. Taken by surprise, she tumbled heavily to the ground.

Her head was spinning, making it impossible for her to get up quickly. She never imagined Yasmine would sink so low. It's true what they say - the dogs that bite don't bark!

Yasmine sneered down at her, a cold smile on her lips. After straightening her dress, she moved forward.
