Selena, lost in the fog of her memories, didn't resist. Everett's emotions surged, turning his tentative kiss into something more intense as he deepened it. Outside, the rain drummed harder, accompanied by gusts of cool wind. But inside, the heat was rising with every moment. Everett, having gone without for so long, was on the brink of losing control. Selena let out a soft whimper of discomfort, which snapped her back to the present. With a slight gasp, she pushed against his chest.
