Selena took a moment, closing her eyes to gather herself. With trembling fingers, she straightened her clothes and smoothed her hair, then squared her shoulders and walked out with purpose.

Levi was waiting just outside, sporting a warm smile. "Ms. Selena, Mr. Abraham is waiting for you in the car. Please, follow me."

Instantly, Selena pulled herself together, shaking off the earlier despair. She clicked out confidently in her high heels, leaving her vulnerability behind.
