“What?” Willie wondered if he was imagining things. Why was Isaac acting so rashly?

Thinking that Isaac might’ve misheard him, he repeated himself slowly.

“Jaylen is in Skystead. Are you saying we’re going to Skystead now?” Isaac glanced at him impatiently.

“Yes, right away.”

Willie wisely didn’t dare ask any more questions and did as his boss asked.

Later that night, Isaac and his men arrived at Jaylen’s home in Skystead.

The journey was a bit long, and he had calmed down somewhat along the way. Because they had come unprepared, it was unlikely they’d be able to successfully negotiate with Jaylen.
