“She’s my fiancée,” Logan replied, confirming my suspicions about his feelings.

“But she broke up with you,” Selene whimpered, playing the perfect damsel.

“She did, but I never agreed. Besides, she can’t live without me. She’s just angry – it’ll blow over.”

I was shocked. He thought our breakup was just me throwing a tantrum? He really believed I’d never

leave him.

But if he said that to Selene, maybe there wasn’t anything between them after all?
