My hand hesitated before reaching for the handle but I grasped it firmly, feelin cold metal press against the

His face was unreadable even as he took all of me in from the top of my head to the tip

of the shoes that I had been wearing. His eyes assessed me at his leisure and I couldn’t fathom what had possibly been going through his mind.

I saw him blink a few times trying to figure out if he had been imagining what he was seeing or if I was actually standing in the door way of his study. There had been a voice coming from the monitor on front of him and, by the sound of how stern and proper that person had been speaking, I knew that Dante was currently in a meeting of some sort.
