He then asked, "Did you ask your mommy to take a shower here?"

"No, Mommy brought her own clothes over."

Franklin didn't ask further. He spoke a few more words to her and told her to rest early before turning to leave.

In the bathroom, Maggie heard some noise, knowing that Franklin had arrived, but she couldn't make out what they were

Isabella was still recovering from her illness. After taking medicine, she was prone to drowsiness. Seeing that it was getting- late, Maggie decided to lie down beside her on the bed after finishing her shower. Isabella nestled into her arms and rubbed her cheek against Maggie's shoulder.
