Franklin didn't ask further. He spoke a few more words to her and told her to rest early before turning to leave.

In the bathroom, Maggie heard some noise, knowing that Franklin had arrived, but she couldn't make out what they were

Isabella was still recovering from her illness. After taking medicine, she was prone to drowsiness.
