Though Stella didn't approve of Maggie as her daughter-in-law, she still politely thanked her for visiting the elderly lady. Maria didn't like Maggie much either, but now that the divorce was clearly imminent, she felt there was no point in saying anything unpleasant. So during these recent encounters, she held her tongue. That morning, when Maggie visited the hospital, Maria, Stella, and the three Wilson siblings-Franklin, York, and their sister-were all present.
