“Captain Zayn informed me that he’s back at the station,” Henley replied.

He hung up the phone and noticed Christian looking at him. Without delay, he immediately. explained, “That was Ms. Cohen on the phone, sir. She said she’ll visit you at the station.”

“Hmm.” Christian nodded. After a brief pause, he added, “Escort her here.”

“But, sir, our station is easy to find. Are you worried that Ms. Cohen won’t be able to locate it?” Henley said, but he quickly changed his tone when he saw Christian’s deep, intense gaze. “Alright, I’ll pick up Ms. Cohen right away.”

Henley went to get another car and then called Nancy, saying, “Ms. Cohen, please stay at the hospital; I’ll come to pick you up.”
