“I suspended Calen, as you already know,” CEO Weiss said as he studied Izzy from behind his desk. “I hope this will not affect anything you’ve been working on in the company, Miss Rossi.”

Izzy met his gaze, her expression calm which seemed to surprise the older CEO. “I didn’t expect this decision,” she said, keeping her voice steady. “But I’ll do my best to ensure my projects remain on track.”

Weiss nodded, leaning back in his chair. “Good. If you need time to regroup or adjust, you’re welcome to work from home until you feel better. The offer is there if you choose to take it.”

Izzy’s lips curved into a faint smile. “I appreciate that, sir. Thank you.”

Before CEO Weiss could respond further, the door to his office swung open. Calen entered, his movements brisk. He closed the door behind him and walked toward the desk without hesitation.
