Weiss nodded, leaning back in his chair. “Good. If you need time to regroup or adjust, you’re welcome to work from home until you feel better. The offer is there if you choose to take it.”

Before CEO Weiss could respond further, the door to his office swung open. Calen entered, his movements brisk. He closed the door behind him and walked toward the desk without hesitation.
