Angela was lost for words for a moment. Seems like Annie assumes that Richard and I didn‘t meet often. But who would know that we‘d lived together day and night for two months? “I...” She sat down.

Just then, Annie‘s cell phone rang; she picked it up and looked at its screen. “It‘s Grandpa. He‘s probably calling me to urge us to go out for dinner,” she said before stepping aside to answer the phone. “Hey, Grandpa! We‘re coming,” she said. Then, she hung up and said to Angela, “Angela, go put on a coat. It‘s time for us to go out for dinner. Everybody wants to see you.” 

Angela nodded before standing up to get her coat. However, after entering the closet, she leaned against the wall wearily and let out a sigh. In the end, she grabbed an overcoat and went out with Annie. 

Daphne and Gilbert had been waiting for her. When she came out, Daphne came over and looked at her. She said in surprise, “Why are you dressed so simply? You‘re not wearing makeup, nor are you wearing earrings or a necklace.”
