I watch her walk away until she disappears. Xade crosses the room to stand beside me. He lift my chin and when he sees the emotions swirling in my eyes, he pulls me in a hug. “She’s just shocked right now, she didn’t mean it,” he kissed my head many times, whispering that my mom loves me.
