Valeria offered no response, her gaze fixed elsewhere.

Lyndon observed the scene quietly.

The only thing he cared about was Rosalynn’s well-being.

“You must be hungry, Rosalynn,” he said.

“Why don’t you sit down and have some breakfast?”

Rosalynn hadn’t felt hungry earlier, but now her stomach protested.

She thanked Lyndon with a grateful nod and settled onto the couch to have a bite.

Hutton turned to Valeria.

“Are you hungry?”

“I have no appetite.

” Withdrawing her hand, she lay back down.
