Silas then gazed at Sabrina mockingly. “Ms. Gray, in the future, it's better to understand the situation before admitting to it. Otherwise, it can be quite a slap in the face.”

Sabrina's face was as pale as a sheet, tinged with a hint of lividness. Today, I'm utterly humiliated by Ashlyn. To make matters worse, Silas is laughing at me!

Sabrina was enraged.

However, she took a deep breath and squeezed out a smile. “How can you say that? It's just a misunderstanding. That's all.”

Silas also smiled. “Ms. Gray, you really know how to save yourself from embarrassment.”

Ashlyn had no interest in watching their verbal spar. “I'll take my leave first.”

Lucas gently wrapped his arm around her slender waist. “Let's go. The movie is about to start.”

Movie? Upon hearing his words, almost everyone present was stunned. Does Mr. Nolan, a workaholic, actually go to the cinema to watch movies? Is there some kind of mistake?

Ashlyn nodded. “I'm not sure if the movie is going to be good or not.”

“If you think it'll be too noisy, I can book the whole place. What do you think?” Lucas asked.

“Let's not do that. Watching a movie is truly meaningful only when we watch it together with everyone,” Ashlyn replied.

“Let's go.”

Everyone listened as the voices of the two gradually faded into the distance.

Sabrina was so furious that her eyes were bulging, almost popping out of their sockets. Is Mr. Nolan actually going to the cinema to watch a movie with that woman? Is Mr. Nolan really doing such a petty thing with her? Isn't the private cinema in Section Six amazing?

The car smoothly pulled into the underground parking lot of the movie theater.

The three of them took the elevator straight to the fifth floor.

Spencer didn't want to be a third wheel, so he went to another venue.

The two of them were seated at the front. Ashlyn was on the right side of Lucas, offering him the popcorn she held in her hands. Without any hesitation, Lucas declined.

Ashlyn thought popcorn was pretty good because it was part of the fun of watching a movie.

The movie was about to start, and the lights in the cinema hall went out, plunging the room into instant darkness.

Immediately after, a very eerie sound of strong wind began to howl.

Ashlyn almost choked on her popcorn. Somewhat speechless, she turned to the man next to her and asked, “What movie tickets did you buy?”

Lucas remained very calm. “It's the highest-grossing and best-selling.”

Ashlyn felt that something was amiss.

Next, there was a knock at the door, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps running.
