However, before she could even touch the hem of Yuri's clothes, she was kicked to the ground by Liam. Disgust flashed in his eyes when he thundered, “What does your despicable act have to do with Yuri?”

Marilyn was sprawled on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. “Mr. Cartier! Oh, Mr. Cartier! Please, I beg you not to get involved with this woman. She's a jinx. If you stay with her, you'll be doomed to a lifetime of misfortune! She's not a good luck charm for her husband at all! She's a jinx! Raymond finally lost his patience, raising his hand to slap her across the face. “Shut up!”

Marilyn stared at him in shock. “How dare you hit me? Did you just slap me because of that b*tch? I don't want to live anymore!”

Liam coldly watched the quarreling couple who were physically fighting, his eyes full of mockery.

Raymond forcefully pushed Marilyn aside, then stared at Liam with a look of deep pain and despair. He questioned Liam harshly, “Was it you? Did you do this? You're seeking revenge for Yuri, aren't you?”


How could the Guzman family possibly vanish overnight from the four major families without human intervention? How could the Guzman family's company possibly go bankrupt overnight? I don't believe it! Raymond refused to believe all of it.

Liam looked at Raymond with a half-smile. “Just consider it as collecting some interest. After all, Yuri has been through quite a bit in your household.”

Liam admitted it openly and fearlessly, without a hint of apprehension. While he was protecting Yuri, he was also inviting Raymond to retaliate.

Raymond glared at him with resentment, and his face was so filled with anger that it seemed to emanate from his chest. His chest heaved continuously. He was so furious that he was on the verge of losing all his rationality.

“What right does she have? She's a woman who cheated, a woman who stole someone else's man, and a woman who gave birth to a b*stard. The Guzman family has already shown her the utmost kindness by giving her food! And yet, you accuse us of being ruthless! You should be grateful that we didn't annihilate her and kill that b*stard!” Raymond fumed.

Yuri's face turned solemn when she heard Raymon calling her child a b*stard.

She wished she could cover her ears and ignore every word said. I can't hear that! I can't! My daughter has a father, and she's not a b*stard!

“Well, you should also be grateful to me for hastening your company's bankruptcy. Otherwise, how could you have experienced such profound pain?” Liam looked at Raymond, whose face had turned red, with a half-smile. “Also, my daughter has a father. She's not a b*stard,” he added.

“If I hear that word from you again, don't blame me for being merciless.” Liam's voice was cold and carried an irresistible aura.
