10 My Father’s Deceit

Danica POV

I make my way down a hallway that hasn’t been used since my father died. I still feel strange about being here, like I’m invading his privacy. I know how ridiculous that sounds, but it doesn’t change the way I feel. When I reach the door of what was once my father’s room, I pull the key from my pocket.
