Chapter 20

Edith answered Jasper's question in Willow's stead.

Upon learning that Willow had joined the Hughes Group under the fake identity of Lara Smith, Edith ran a background check on her and even memorized her ID information.

Edith couldn't let Jasper find out that Willow was actually from Nason Village, a small town in Buscen City. Otherwise, the truth would be exposed.

If her lie to Jasper was revealed, she would never be able to win him over.

Willow flashed Jasper a dry smile, and affirmed Edith's answer. "Ms. Price is correct."

Her mother, Lara Smith, was from Bryxton, Janesville. However, her address was in Nason Village because it was where her aunt lived.

When she was a child, her mother took her to her aunt's village, where she was raised. That was why Nason Village was picked as her residential address on her ID, and the reason she took on her uncle's last name. For as long as Willow could remember, her father was never around. Whenever she asked her mother about him, she would react angrily and refuse to disclose his identity.
