Jasper's throat tightened. He caught ahold of her wrist, and pulled her against himself. His breath was hot and heavy upon her ear: "Throwing yourself onto me, by accident? What a classic routine." Hot air blasted against her skin, and a violent shiver ran all the way through her body.

Sensing the danger in her situation, she stammered, "Mr. Hughes, it's not what you think..."

"You came right up to my desk while I was seated here. You knew exactly what you were doing," Jasper murmured in that deep, commanding voice of his. With powerful fingers, he seized a firm grip of her waist. Willow flushed hard, turning red all the way to her ears. "Mr. Hughes... we can't do this..."

"But what do you mean? What do you think we're doing?" Jasper's voice played havoc on her nerves.

His lips clamped gently upon one of her ears.

Alarm bells sounded all throughout Willow's mind. She wrenched her hand free of his grip, and turned to flee... but one strong arm held her securely in place, so that she couldn't even rise from his lap.
