Enzo and I walked for a while longer after that. There were twice as many guards now, and all of them were heavily armed and on high alert. If it weren’t for the rain and the rapidly darkening sky, I was certain that they would have seen us.

“Shit,” Enzo whispered as we crouched behind some bushes and peered through the branches at the dozens of guards patrolling the entire perimeter of the mansion. “There’s no way in.”
