Suddenly, a sharp pain radiated from Bradley’s heart. He instinctively clutched the edge of the crystal coffin, his keen eyes locking onto Esther’s emotionless face.

“Esther!”

Esther’s eyes were cold, lacking the human warmth one would expect. “Is there anything else you wish to command?”

Without warning, Bradley seized her by the neck.

Esther displayed no signs of pain or relief. A sense of defeat washed over Bradley, and he staggered back, gazing at Esther.
