After what felt like an eternity of driving, Peter arrived at the emergency room. Philip Hill was already waiting for him. As Peter opened the passenger door to help Mary out, Philip stepped forward and said urgently:

Peter placed Mary onto a gurney, where nurses quickly surrounded her, checking her vital signs and preparing her for a thorough examination. When Peter tried to follow, Philip stopped him.

With that, Philip disappeared into the emergency room, leaving Peter standing at the threshold. Restless and agitated, Peter paced back and forth, his anxiety bubbling over.
